Walnut slat wall with integrated lines of light
Toronto · Residential renovation

Homes built with intent.

Kitchens, feature walls, bathrooms and whole-home renovations across Toronto and the GTA. Designed with you, built by our own crew.

Detail where it's seen. Discipline where it isn't.

The finish is what you notice. The layout, the wiring and the sequencing behind it are what make it last for decades.

Finished on the date we agreed.

One team, one contract and one person accountable, from the first drawing to the final inspection.

Residential

Renovation finished to the detail.

Kitchens, bathrooms, feature walls, and the millwork and lighting that tie a home together. The person who prices your project is the person who runs it.

The room the house is built around.

Lit under the uppers, stone that runs clean to the edge, hardware you notice twice.

Process

Three steps. No surprises.

Every project moves through the same three steps, whether it is a single bathroom or the whole house. That is why our budgets hold and our sites stay calm.

About

Owner-led since day one.

A general contractor for people who notice the details, built on twelve years of residential and commercial work across Toronto and the GTA.

Paul Singh started New Century in Etobicoke with an electrician's habit of doing the invisible work properly. That habit still runs the company: the person who prices your project is on site running it, the trades that matter most are our own people, and every job closes out with photos, inspections and paperwork you can hand to the next owner.

Reviews

In their words.

★★★★★
Paul walked us through every decision before anything was ordered, and the number he gave us at the start was the number we paid. The kitchen and the millwork are the reason people stop when they walk into our house.
Roy and Courtney · Whole-home renovation, Etobicoke
★★★★★
The slat wall and the lighting in it are the kind of thing you see in a magazine and assume you can't have. New Century built it in our home, on schedule, and left the place cleaner than they found it.
Homeowner · Feature walls and lighting, Vaughan
★★★★★
Two full washrooms renovated inside an operating school. They worked around our hours, kept the corridors clear and safe, and handed over on the date we agreed.

Approved vendor for a reason. Paperwork in order, crew on time, store open the whole way through. We book them again without going back to the market.
Store construction manager · National retailer, in-store program
★★★★★
Cable tray, switchgear and controls in a live plant, coordinated with our operations so production never stopped. Clean runs, clean terminations, no call-backs.

Paul understood what we were going for from the first sketch and figured out how to actually build it. The result is one of a kind.

Questions we get asked

Before you call.

Do you work in occupied buildings?

Yes. Most of our commercial work is done in buildings that stay open. We sequence around tenants and store hours, contain dust, protect finishes, and keep egress clear. Night and weekend work is available where the landlord's rules require it.

Are you insured and WSIB registered?

Yes. We carry $5,000,000 in commercial general liability and are registered with the WSIB. Certificates naming your company as additional insured are issued per project.

What size of project do you take on?

From a single washroom or suite turnover to full-floor fit-outs and whole-home renovations. If a project is outside what we can deliver well, we say so at the first visit.

How does pricing work?

After a site visit you receive a written scope and a budget with allowances and exclusions named. Stipulated-sum or construction-management delivery, open-book where you prefer it. Detailed trade-by-trade estimates are prepared under a short pre-construction agreement.

Which trades do you self-perform?

Electrical and lighting, framing and drywall, tile and flooring, millwork installation, painting and finishing, demolition and site protection. Plumbing, HVAC, structural steel, glazing and custom millwork fabrication come through subcontractors we have used for years.

How quickly can you look at a job?

We reply within one business day and can usually walk the site the same week.
